Social media influencer and former beauty queen Archana Kapoor Nagpal has shared the inspiring weight loss journey she took after facing various health challenges.
Kapoor, a former beauty queen from Bengaluru, using her Instagram platform, lost almost 32 kg despite undergoing 13 surgeries and battling endometriosis - which is an often-painful condition in which tissue that is similar to the inner lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. It often affects the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the tissue lining the pelvis.
Archana goes from 85 to 53 kgs
Archana, who once weighed 85 kilograms, managed to bring her weight down to 53 kg - not just transforming herself physically but also having a deep impact on her psychological well-being.
“From 85 kgs to 53 kgs was a journey, or I must say, a few avatars in one life,” she wrote, describing the process as a profound metamorphosis on her social media. She underwent surgeries after a devastating accident, which also took a major toll on her overall health.
Archana said the turning point in her life came at the age of 25 - when she felt directionless and was struggling with significant health issues. That is when she decided to survive and adapt, as she did not see other real choices. And so, her transformation was not just about achieving a particular number on the scale—but reclaiming her life and well-being. “It was not about losing weight but gaining life,” she wrote.

How does Archana keep fit?
Working as a yoga educator and wellness advocate, Archana stresses the need for a holistic approach to health. She credits her love for yoga not just for her physical fitness but primarily for strengthening her mental well-being as well.
Apart from keeping fit through yoga, Archana takes care of her diet, which mainly insists on low-fat, wholesome Indian dishes like idlis, sambar, and rotis with sabji, complemented by yogurt, watermelon juice, and black coffee, replacing high-glycemic foods like rice. Her daily meals are a balance of protein, carbs, and all the macro and micronutrients that help you keep healthy and fit.
