Irrespective of which strata of society we come from and no matter how many blessings we have been bestowed with, each one of us have our own share of problems and worries - both big and small. It goes without saying that each one of us have a different coping mechanism too. Singer Chris Martin recently in an interview shared how he deals with his problems and keeps his mental health in check.
Chris mentioned that all one has to do is that a piece of paper and pen for 12 minutes every day, and one has to write down everything that's bothering one. After 12 minutes, one can decide what one really wants to do with that piece of paper. One can rip it up, throw it away or burn it, depending on what one feels like. About the whole process, he says, "It's like releasing the things that you really want to say, but you can't. It sort of cleanses everything." Well, it may surprise you, but Chris Martin, a beloved singer of many, does it every day and it really helps him too.
When he was asked what prompted him to come up with this way of channelising his feelings, Chris said whenever he feels sad, or angry at people, he does this exercise to pacify himself. Come to think of it, it's an amazing way which a lot of you out there can emulate too and benefit from.
